Hey everyone! Sorry it´s been a while, but I´ve unfortunately been really sick and just taking care of myself and saving money for the last few weeks. All is great now, and plans are coming up! I´m getting my camera this week too, so many more pics to come!
My new name here is Kevin. I know, sounds nothing like Jani, but that is what Charlie (the 2 year old) thinks my name is. I think he thinks I have 2 names, because he also knows my name as Jani (pronounced as Yani), but initially, he calls me Kevin. We all think it this is hilarious, everytime, because where did he get that!? He laughs too at first, then corrects himself with Jani. I don´t think this will ever get old for me, because it´s just so bizarre and cute.
I´ve been in Sweden for just about 2 months now, and yes, been kinda quiet with my stories and pics, but things are about to change! The Holms are taking off to Thailand for 2 weeks, so I´m on my own. I´m going to Tuscany, Italy for a week on my own the first week of April!! I´m flying into Milan, then taking trains to Siena, Florence, and a small town called Panzano in Chianti. This small town has one of the most well known (if not the greatest) butchers in Italy and the world. This trip is all about sightseeing, eating, drinking great vino, and just seeing real Italy. Can´t believe it´s actually happening, but I knew I had to go. The song `That´s Amore`is ringing in my head...
As soon as I get back to Sweden, then next day, I´m joining my new friend, from Swedish class, to Norway for a few days. Sandra is from Germany, and is studying in Orebrö for a few months. Even though she was way more advanced than me, since German is similar to Swedish, she still thought I was pretty cool! ;) We just clicked, and I´m so glad to have found a friend. We are going to be traveling to Oslo, to Lillehammer (where the Olympic Jumping Tower is), to Borlaug, and then to Bergen on the west coast. I´m really looking foward to this trip too, with new friends, new country, and just going for it!
So not much for now, but my next blog I hope will just be crazy. I´m also traveling with the family in May to Germany for a week to see family. Lots of adventures coming up, so exciting! Everything is going great here! Only complaint I guess, is the language barrier. It´s obviously everywhere, and I just don´t get it. Trying to, and starting to pick it up, but it´s difficult. Not really a problem though compared to the rest of the world´s problems. I hope everyone at home is doing great and getting ready for Spring. The snow is pretty much melted here, so I´m thrilled! Take care!
Hejdö from Kevin ;)
